The Nigerian English speaking accent is the sixth most ranked in the world according to a CNN scientific campaign.
A CNN report has rated the Nigerian English speaking accent as the sixth in the world according to a scientific campaign organized by the News company.
The Nigerian accent was placed behind the Italian, French, Spanish, Czech and Queens English speakers.
This fact was put together by CNN's news crew who toured the world in a bid to discover twelve impressive accents.
According to CNNgo, native English speakers rated the Nigerian accent as sexy due to the manner of articulation of celebrities such as King Sunny Ade and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.
The online streaming platform described the Nigerian accent as “Dignified,
with just a hint of willful naivete, the deep, rich “oh’s” and “eh’s”
of Naija bend the English language without breaking it, arousing tremors
in places other languages can’t reach.
“Sounds like the THX intro with teeth.”
Many may agree with the CNN report and they are not even bias.
Among
all African English speaking accents, the Naija version exude a quality
of class, especially when spoken by the society's elite.
