Chapecoense crash survival was reading a bible before plane went down

Heli Neto one of the survivors of the Chapecoense plane crash was reading the bible before the incident happened.

Neto and his teammates were on their way to Medellin, Colombia for the first leg final of the Copa Sudamericana against Atletico Nacional when the fatal plane crash happened.

71 people died in the crash including almost the entire team of Brazilian club, Chapecoense Real.

Chapecoense defender Neto who was one of the survivors was reading a bible passage about 'being safe in the shadow of your wings' before the crash.
The bible was found at the scene of the accident and has been handed to his wife, Simone

According to Simone, the defender is a deeply religious person and takes his bible everywhere he goes.
It's the first thing he takes when he travels, and here are his annotations, I'm very grateful to have it back,” Simone said.

In a video clip, a journalist Roberto Cabrini is seen at the scene of the crash where he saw the bible.

Cabrini is seen shaking when he realises what the bible was and who it belonged to.
The defender is said to be a delicate situation and is stabilised regularly by doctors after undergoing extensive surgery on his lungs, skull, knees and wrists.
