Diego Simeone admitted that he will one day coach Inter Milan agreeing to comments his son made.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has admitted that he is interested in coaching his former club, Inter Milan.
This comes after his son Giovanni said that his father will one day be the boss of Inter Milan.
Reacting to his son’s comment, Simoene said he does not have a problem with it because it is the truth.
The 46-year-old reacted to his son’s comment while speaking ahead of Atletico's final Champions League group stage game against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, December 6 which they lost 1-0.
“It
is normal that my son, my father, my sister, my wife would say that I
will train Inter in the future because they know some day I will lead
Inter,” Simeone said.
“I have nothing to say about my future. It is abundantly clear.”
Giovanni who plays for Serie A side, Genoa was confident his dad will one day sign for Inter Milan.
“He will sign for Inter at some point. I hope that happens,” the 21-year-old striker said.
Simeone played for Inter Milan between 1997–1999 scoring 11 goals in 57 appearances.
