Paul Scholes reacts to Man Utd’s 2-1 loss at Fenerbahce

The Manchester United legend says Jose Mourinho has two big problems after Thursday night's 2-1 loss at Fenerbahce

Paul Scholes was critical of Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo after Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat by Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Turkish side required just two minutes to break the deadlock on home soil after Moussa Sow’s stunning strike beat Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
Jeremain Lens, who is on-loan from Premier League club Sunderland, doubled Fenerbahce’s lead in the 59th minute thanks to a superb free-kick.
Wayne Rooney became Manchester United’s joint-record goal-scorer in Europe alongside Ruud van Nistelrooy with his 38th strike in Uefa competitions to offer the visitors late hope in the 89th minute.
However, the 20-time English champions couldn’t find a late winner as the Red Devils slumped to their fifth defeat under Mourinho.

Former United midfielder Scholes believes the Red Devils boss has two major headaches ahead of their trip to Swansea City on Sunday afternoon.

“I think United have two big problems at the minute,” Scholes told BT Sport after Thursday night’s Europa League defeat.

“They’re really struggling to score goals and to win games of football with Blind and Rojo at centre-half, they almost need to score three goals because they look like they’re going to give goals away all the time.

“They don’t sense danger, they’ve got no pace, they don’t get physical against people. It’s a worry that at the other end they really don’t look like scoring goals.

“I know Mourinho doesn’t have much choice at centre-half with the injuries that they’ve got, but you have to feel going into Sunday [against Swansea], United will have to score three goals to win the game.”
Manchester United have already lost to Feyenoord and Fenerbahce in the Europa League group stage this season.
