Liverpool star out for just 5, 6 weeks

Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has been ruled out for just five, six weeks less than what was originally feared.

Coutinho was stretched in the first half of Liverpool's 2-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday, November 26 with a suspected ankle ligament damage.

Test on Monday however has revealed that the injury was not bad as first feared and will not require surgery.
The 24-year-old will miss crucial games Everton and Manchester City and could be back for Liverpool's trip to Old Trafford to face United on January 15. 

Coutinho was pictured on Monday, November 28 on crutches as he arrived a hospital for his scan on Monday, November 28.

Before the scan, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was not optimistic of the result. .

Phil has his scans this afternoon. What I can say is that it's too long because the best thing is that he's not out. We have to take it how it is,” Klopp said in his press conference ahead of their English League Cup quarter-finals against Leeds United.
