Herrera made his international debut for Spain during the international break, and has become a fan favourite at Old Trafford.
Having initially struggled to get into the team under Jose Mourinho, Herrera is now a fixture in the starting line-up.
Herrera used the official programme for the game against Arsenal to discuss is love for England, the country’s football culture and Manchester United. He’s in love.
“I feel very appreciated by the United fans and want to give the love back to the fans that they give to me by giving everything,” Herrera told the official United programme.
“I know what Manchester United means, I know what it means to the fans and I try to make them proud.
“I’ve loved all my time in Manchester. I wanted to come to England, I was always fascinated by the football culture, by the full stadiums for every game, the fact that any team can take points off the others, the huge number of travelling supporters.
“My experience has been as positive as I hoped. The difference this season is that I am playing regularly, and I am loving that because I love football.”
