FIFA has handed Italian Serie A club
Lazio an ultimatum to pay Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi his
outstanding wages or face sanctions, AfricanFootball.com reports.
AfricanFootball.com learnt that FIFA ordered Lazio to pay their former player before end of this month.
“FIFA has given Lazio till November 29 to pay Onazi or face its wrath. He is being owed two months’ salary,” a source said.
Onazi dumped Lazio for Turkish club
Trabzonspor in the summer but the Italian side failed to pay him for
the final two months of his contract.
The South Africa 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner reported the club to FIFA following their refusal to pay him.
