In-form Chelsea attacker  Victor Moses has vowed to keep improving his performances to keep his starting role at the London Premier League giants.

Moses, who   was in the starting lineup  for the Blues in the 2-0 defeat of stubborn Southampton in their Premier clash at St. Mary’s Stadium  on Sunday, started in the wins over Hull City, Leicester City  and Manchester United.

 The 25-year-old Super Eagles forward has been grabbing the headlines since Chelsea manager Antonio Conte converted him into a right wing-back in his new 3-4-3  system.

 And Moses, who  spent last three seasons out on loan at Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham after  the 2012 European champions  signed  him  for  £9  from Wigan  four years ago, has admitted he is enjoying his new role  at Chelsea.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner says he is happy to  contribute to the defensive duties too by falling back support Cesar Azpilicueta.

“I have not played there before,” Moses, who represented Nigeria at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, told Chelsea’s official website on Sunday.

“I have just got to listen to what the manager asks me to do in that position, and the way he wants me to do it.

“Every game we play I just want to keep on improving. The more games you play, the more experience you get in that position. I’m really relishing it at the moment and enjoying it.

“It’s very important to understand your teammates. I have got Azpilicueta there, the spare right-back, who is behind me, and he communicates with me and really helps me out to make sure I am in the right position.

“It’s very good to link up with Pedro or Willian, too. They know when it’s time for me to go or when not to go. We speak to each other and we look at each other’s movement to make sure we are doing the right thing on the pitch.”

The player, who missed the  Super Eagles’  opening  Russia  2018 World Cup Group B qualifier against Zambia’ Chipolopolo  in Ndola on October 9, has been invited by Nigeria coach Gernot for the  qualifier  against   Algeria in Uyo on November 12.

Moses added, “I’m feeling happy, I’m feeling excited and right now I’m looking forward to every game.

“The most important thing is getting out on the pitch and enjoying your football, and that’s what I am doing at the moment. It’s also good to have a team that believes in your ability and encourages you to keep driving on and playing well.”
